Society for Philosophy and Psychology

La Society for Philosophy and Psychology (Société de Philosophie et de Psychologie) (SPP) est une association professionnelle en Amérique du Nord qui favorise la discussion et la recherche à l'intersection de la philosophie, de la psychologie et des sciences cognitives. Son but déclaré est de « promouvoir l'interaction entre les philosophes, psychologues et autres chercheurs en sciences cognitives sur les questions d'intérêt commun ». À cette fin, la société organise une conférence annuelle, maintient une liste de diffusion et décerne des prix de recherche. La première réunion a eu lieu au MIT en 1974 et Jerry Fodor a été nommé premier président de la société, bien qu'il ait fallut attendre la réunion de 1976 pour qu'un règlement soit adopté et des dirigeants élus. La première réunion conjointe avec son homologue européenne, l'European Society for Philosophy and Psychology (ESPP) a eu lieu à Barcelone en 2004.
