Steelcase est une entreprise spécialisée dans le mobilier de bureau et aménagement d’espaces de travail.

Histoire

L'entreprise est créée en 1912 à Grands Rapids dans l’État américain du Michigan sous le nom de The Metal Office Furniture Company. Depuis 2006, le siège international du groupe est situé à l'Espace européen de l'entreprise, dans la communauté urbaine de Strasbourg[1]. Au classement Fortune 1000 (classement 2006) des plus grandes entreprises américaines par chiffre d'affaires publié en 2006 par la magazine américain Fortune et qui correspond au classement effectif en 2005, l'entreprise est au rang 663 avec 2 613 8 millions d'US$[2].
