Histoire

Summer Ann Newman est la fille de Nicolas et Phyllis Summers Newman ; conçue alors que Nick était marié à Sharon Collins. Summer est une référence au nom de sa mère (Summers) ; & Ann en hommage à Cassie fille adoptive de Nicolas Newman (fille de Sharon & Franck Barritt) : Cassidy Ann Johnson / Cassidy Ann Newman. Elle est la demi-sœur de Daniel Romalotti Jr (fils de Phyllis Summers & Brian Hamilton, reconnu et élevé par Danny Romalotti), de Cassie, de Noah Newman et Faith Cassidy Newman (enfants de Sharon Collins & Nicholas Newman). En 2010, empoisonnée par Patty Williams alias Mary Jane Benson (sœur de Paul Williams & ex épouse de Jack Abbott), Summer se retrouve dans un état critique.
