The Big C est une série télévisée américaine créée par Darlene Hunt et diffusée depuis le 16 août 2010 sur Showtime.

Cette série sera diffusée en France à partir du 1^er décembre 2011 sur Canal +^[1],sur téva et est diffusée au Québec depuis le 4 juillet à TVA.

Synopsis

Cette série met en scène Cathy Jamison, une femme menant une vie banale avec un époux immature et un fils adolescent dont l'existence va être chamboulée lorsqu'elle apprend qu'elle souffre d'un cancer au stade 4. Elle bouscule alors ses habitudes et décide de profiter du peu de temps qui lui reste à vivre en faisant ce qu'elle s'interdisait auparavant.

Au début de septembre 2011, la chaîne Showtime a annoncé le renouvellement de la série pour une troisième saison composée de 10 épisodes^[3].

Commentaires

L'épisode pilote a réalisé les meilleures audiences depuis huit ans pour la chaîne Showtime^[4].

La chaîne Showtime a renouvelé la série pour une 2e saison de 13 épisodes^[5]
