The Second Annual Report est le premier album publié par le groupe de musique industrielle Throbbing Gristle. Il combine des enregistrements en concerts et en studio. L'albun fut à l'origine publié en long-jeu 12" en 1977, puis republié en CD en 1991, avec des morceaux tirés de singles parus en 1977 et 1978^[1].

L'édition LP a bénéficié de plusieurs repressages. Le pressage original chez Industrial Records était de 785 copies : Fetish Records en a ensuite preéés 2000 copies. La troisième edition faisait partie du coffret de 5 disques Throbbing Gristle box set; cette version a été remontée afin de jouer à l'envers album tout en intégrant un orchestre de chambre sur le morceau "After Cease to Exist". La matrice de cette version de Fetish fut utilisée plates par Mute Records pour les rééditions subséquentes. Une autre version existe sur Celluloid Records, mais n'a pas été sanctionnée par le groupe^[2],[3],[4]. (At the very least, the Celluloid issue is known to have poor sound quality^[5],[6].)

En 2008, des nouvelles interprétations de la musique de l'album parait sous le tireThe Thirty-Second Annual Report of Throbbing Gristle. Enregistré en concert à Paris lors d'un concert à la la Villette afin de commémorer le 30^e anniversaire de la aprution de l'album originalThe Second Annual Report^[7].
