La Trojan room coffee pot est l'une des premières et plus célèbre utilisations de webcam[1] qui filmait une cafetière dans la trojan room — littéralement la « salle troyenne » — au laboratoire informatique de l'université de Cambridge en Angleterre. Elle est arrêtée depuis 9 h 54 (UTC) le mercredi 22 Août 2001[2] après un déménagement dans de nouveaux locaux.
Cette webcam permet aux chercheurs du laboratoire d'éviter des trajets inutiles en vérifiant sur leur poste informatique une image en temps réel du niveau de la cafetière[3].
Les images de la webcam sont mises en ligne sur le site internet du laboratoire en Novembre 1993 et, malgré le peu d'intérêt, la machine à café devient célèbre : le site attire 2.5 million de visiteurs jusqu'à l'arrêt[4].
