Synopsis

Un jeune homme, Tae-Suk, place des prospectus sur les portes des maisons. Il repasse plus tard : si les publicités sont toujours présentes il en déduit que les maisons sont inoccupées et il y loge pour une nuit. Il ne vole rien, ne casse rien et va même jusqu'à nettoyer les lieux, entretenir les plantes ou encore réparer les objets cassés. Il repart ensuite, sur sa moto, après s'être pris en photo dans la maison. Un jour, alors qu'il croyait une habitation vide, il y rencontre une femme violentée par son mari, Sun-hua.

Commentaire

Ce film possède un rythme assez lent et les deux personnages principaux refusent de parler . Certaines scènes, dans la dernière partie du film, font basculer celui-ci dans le cinéma fantastique : le jeune homme est parvenu, à force d'entrainement d'un art martial particulier, a devenir une sorte de fantôme pour pouvoir rejoindre sa belle à l'insu de son mari, en s'affranchissant des contraintes de la réalité.
