Bonnie Hunt est une actrice, scénariste, productrice et réalisatrice américaine née le 22 septembre 1961 à Chicago dans l'Illinois aux États-Unis.

Biographie

Elle grandit à Chicago et trouve un emploi d'infirmière dans un pavillon de cancéreux dans un hôpital de la ville. Entre temps, elle tâte aussi de la comédie. En 1988, elle obtient un rôle dans Rain Man, aux côtés de Dustin Hoffman et de Tom Cruise.

Mais c'est dans des films destinés au jeune public comme Beethoven (et sa suite Beethoven 2), Jumanji et Treize à la douzaine (et sa suite Treize à la douzaine 2) qu'elle se fait connaître du grand public.

Elle a aussi joué dans des films à registre moins familial et registre dramatique dans Only You, Jerry Maguire, La Ligne verte en 1999, où elle joue la femme de Tom Hanks et L'Ombre d'un soupçon, où elle joue aux côtés d'Harrison Ford.

Elle a réalisé un film, Droit au cœur (2000) où elle dirige David Duchovny (Mulder dans X-Files) qu'elle avait rencontré en 1992 sur le tournage de Beethoven.

Elle s'est aussi essayée à la télévision entre autres avec The Bonnie Hunt Show et Life with Bonnie et au doublage de films d'animations comme 1001 pattes et Cars.
