Newton Booth Tarkington (29 juillet 1869, Indianapolis19 mai 1946) était un romancier et auteur de théâtre américain, essentiellement connu pour ses romans ayant reçu le prix Pulitzer : La Splendeur des Amberson et Alice Adams.

Biographie

Booth Tarkington est le fils de John S. Tarkington et Elizabeth Booth Tarkington, prénommé ainsi en référence à son oncle du côté maternel, Newton Booth, alors gouverneur de Californie.
