Brian Baker, né le 25 février 1965, est un bassiste et guitariste américain. Il est actuellement membre du groupe punk rock Bad Religion.

Carrière musicale

Il est entre autres, membre fondateur des groupes Dag Nasty et Minor Threat et ancien membre des groupes Junkyard, Meatmen, Government Issue et Samhain (au sein duquel il n'a joué que quelques répétitions).

Il s'est vu offrir une place dans le groupe R.E.M. pour leur tournée mondiale Monster, ainsi qu'une invitation à une audition pour jouer dans Guns N' Roses. Il refusa les deux propositions pour se concentrer sur Bad Religion.

Son implication dans la création du groupe Minor Threat fait de lui un des cofondateurs du mouvement Straight Edge. Minor Threat a toujours refusé être le fondateur du Straight Edge.
