Busy est une commune française, située dans le département du Doubs et la région Franche-Comté.

Sommaire

Géographie

Le village est situé entre Vorges-les-pins et Larnod, et il est situé à proximité du Doubs et de la Loue. Le village est distant d'environ 10 km de Besançon.

Étymologie

Le nom de Busy provient du buis, qui est un arbuste très présent en Franche-Comté.

Histoire

Le village traversé par une ancienne voie romaine. Jadis la culture de la vigne était très présente, jusqu'aux attaques du phylloxéra, puis de l'absinthe avant son interdiction en 1915. C'est dans ce village que Jacques Martin créa le 1er comice agricole du département en 1886.

Lieux et monuments

  • L’église, elle fut agrandie durant le 18e siècle et son clocher reconstruit, la toiture comtoise fut restaurée en 1978.
  • Une grande croix en fer qui montre l'existence, jadis, d’une maladrerie (champ d’isolation des pestiférés au Moyen Âge).
  • Une bâtisse nommée « le château » une construction typique franc-comtoise.
  • Une salle polyvalente.
