Carl Weathers, né le 14 janvier 1948 à La Nouvelle-Orléans en Louisiane, est un acteur, réalisateur et producteur américain.

Biographie

Avant d'être acteur, il a fait partie de l'équipe de football "Oakland Raiders" et de la "Canadian Football League Squad". C'est en 1974, après avoir obtenu son diplôme de l'Université d’État de San Diego en Arts du Théâtre qu'il arrête le sport.

Carl Weathers est surtout connu pour avoir incarné le personnage d'Apollo Creed, (1,85 m, 95 kg), le premier adversaire puis l'ami de Rocky Balboa dans la saga Rocky et plus tard avoir joué dans le film Predator avec Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Il est actuellement membre de la Big Brothers Association et fait partie du Comité olympique des Etats Unis. Marié avec Jennifer Peterson, sa troisième épouse, il est père de deux enfants issus des mariages précédents.
