Carlo Giuseppe Guglielmo Botta (1766, San Giorgio Canavese, dans l'actuelle province de Turin, au Piémont - août 1837, Paris), historien italien

Il fut d'abord médecin ; fut sous l'Empire membre du corps législatif ; et recteur sous la Restauration. Comme historien, Botta est l'émule de Francesco Guicciardini, dont il a complété l'œuvre.

Son fils est l'archéologue Paul-Émile Botta (1802-1870).
