Cease upon the Capitol est un groupe originaire de Murfreesboro (près de Nashville) dans le Tennessee.

Le Trio se forme sur les cendres de Baldwin Mass Suicide en 2004. Il décident alors de s'engager politiquement et de partir sur des chemins plus radicaux. Le combos est composé de Matt (guitare et chant), Ryan (batterie) et Roy (basse).

Le groupe a déjà accompli bon nombre de tournées en Europe et aux États-unis ; notamment en août 2007 avec The Thrid Memory.
