Children Genocide est un groupe de black metal norvégien formé en 1992, à Rodberg en Norvège. À l'époque le groupe comptait 6 membres dont Hirvin Jilsnig, le chanteur.
Le groupe se lance dans le viking Metal, un genre très agressif. Cependant, très vite, en plus de sombrer dans la drogue et l'alcool, il finit sa course dans une sorte de néo-nazisme.
Interdit plusieurs fois de concerts, le groupe joue dans la clandestinté et certains propos de Jilsnig lui ont valu des peines d'emprisonnement ou de travaux forcés. Différents propos et chansons (retirées ensuite) ont également valu plusieurs procès et peines d'emprisonnement pour 3 des membres successifs ayant appartenu au groupe.
On reprochera donc à Children Genocide cette fin haïssable (le groupe s'est disloqué en 2001) malgré une musique travaillée et un style "soigné". Aujourd'hui, Jilsnig passe son temps entre cures de désintoxication et écriture.
