La chlorphénamine ou chlorphéniramine est un composé chimique de la classe des pyridines qui a des propriétés médicales comme anticholinergique, sédative, antitussives antihistaminique, mais c'est surtout cette dernière propriété qui le fait utiliser contre les réactions allergiques ( pour atténuer les symptomes associés aux allergies telles que la rhinite et l'urticaire. Il est par exemple utlisé dans des spécialités phamarceutiques pour lutter contre le rhume. C'est un antihistaminique de première génération (effet de sédation important)
