Christian Krogh vers 1915

Christian Krohg (13 août 1852-16 octobre 1925) est un peintre, écrivain et journaliste norvégien. Il fut formé en Allemagne et travailla à Paris en 1881 et 1882. Il a épousé Oda Krohg.

Il fréquente la Bohême de Kristiania, il soutient Hans Jæger en 1885, et publie lui-même un roman en 1886 : Albertine, aussitôt saisi et interdit. Ce roman qui s'inscrit dans le naturalisme de la littérature norvégienne des années 1880 a été pour Christian Krohg le motif de nombreux tableaux.

Christian Krogh est associé aux peintres de Skagen (Danemark).

Il est enterré au cimetière de Notre-Sauveur (Oslo).
