A Forest est une chanson du groupe The Cure composée essentiellement par Robert Smith. Elle est éditée en single par Fiction Records le 8 avril 1980 avec Another Journey by Train en face B[1], puis sur l'album Seventeen Seconds.

A Forest connait un certain succès, d'abord au Royaume-Uni, puis un peu partout dans le monde. Malgré son extrême simplicité, c'est devenu aujourd'hui un des airs les plus connus de The Cure. Cette chanson clot presque systématiquement les concerts du groupe, et dans des versions qui peuvent parfois dépasser les dix minutes. On la retrouve donc fort logiquement dans leurs albums live, les vidéos, et leurs diverses compilations.

Elle figure sur la bande-son du jeu Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories.

A Forest a notamment été reprise par Carpathian Forest en 1998 sur Black Shining Leather, par Nouvelle Vague en 2004 sur leur premier album[2], et par Blank & Jones sur l'album Monument en 2004 également, où Robert Smith participe en réenregistrant la partie chantée[3]. Une version indienne figure dans Tantra, le deuxième album d'Olli and the Bollywood Orchestra sorti en 2008.
