Abdullah Azzam

Abdullah Yussuf Azzam, né en 1941, assassiné en 1989, est le cheikh palestinien à l’origine du Maktab al-Khadamāt, structure fondée en 1984 à Peshawar pour accueillir et orienter les volontaires arabes venus prendre part au djihad afghan. Il a été l'un des modèles d'Oussama Ben Laden.

L'un de ses célèbres slogans était : « Le Jihad et les fusils uniquement. Pas de négociations, pas de conférences, pas de dialogues » dans le cadre de l'invasion soviétique de l'Afghanistan.
