Cumberland est une ville de l'État du Rhode Island aux États-Unis. En 2000 sa population était de 31 840 habitants pour une superficie de 73,2 km². Cette ville fut fondée en 1746 et incorporée en 1746.
La ville a donné son nom a une roche, la cumberlandite, minerai riche en fer et qui est aussi la State rock (en), roche officielle de l'État de Rhode-Island.
