Le comté de Cumbrie (Cumbria en anglais) est situé dans la région du nord-ouest de l'Angleterre. Il est bordé par la mer d'Irlande à l'ouest, et la chaîne des Pennines à l'est. Le parc national Lake District National Park est sur son territoire.

Le comté de Cumbrie est limitrophe des comtés anglais du Northumberland, de Durham, du Yorkshire du Nord et du Lancastre, ainsi que de l'Écosse.

Ce comté a été créé en 1974, et il recouvre les comtés traditionnels du Cumberland et du Westmorland, ainsi que des fragments du Lancastre et du Yorkshire.
