Dhou al-hijja
Dhou al hijja (arabe : ذو الحجة , dhû l-hijja ) est le douzième mois du calendrier musulman. Il est marqué par le hajj (arabe : الحج « pèlerinage »), qui a lieu pendant les dix premiers jours de ce mois.
- Le dixième jour marque l'Aïd el Adha, fête célébrant le sacrifice d'Ismaïl par Abraham.
- Le neuvième jour est traditonnellement jeûné car il coïncide avec la station de Arafat pendant le hajj.
C'est l'un des quatre mois sacrés de l'islam avec mouharram, rajab et dhou al qi`da.
