Don't Tread on Me est le sixième titre de l'album Metallica sorti en 1991 par le groupe de heavy metal Metallica. La chanson peut être interprétée comme une chanson patriotique, comme le titre est lié avec la Guerre d'indépendance des États-Unis d'Amérique. Les mots « Don't Tread On Me » constituent en effet une devise du Gadsden flag, et l'image du serpent sur le drapeau est reproduite sur la pochette de l'album. La rhythmique jouée par les guitares, la basse et la batterie donnent un peu à la chanson un côté « militaire ».
