Eadburh ou Eadburga était la fille du roi Offa de Mercie et de son épouse Cynethryth, et l'épouse du roi Beorhtric de Wessex. D'après la Vie d'Alfred le Grand d'Asser, elle aurait accidentellement empoisonné son mari en 802 et aurait dû s'exiler à la cour de Charlemagne. Elle serait ensuite devenue abbesse d'un monastère à Pavie, dont elle aurait été chassée après s'être ouvertement affichée avec un homme. Elle serait ensuite morte dans la misère.
