Parmi les diplômés célèbres, on peut citer Christopher McCandless, en mai 1990. Ce jeune aventurier anti-matérialiste a fait l'objet du récit biographique à succès Voyage au bout de la solitude (Into the Wild) de Jon Krakauer, adapté au cinéma en 2007 par Sean Penn : Into The Wild.
