First Things

First Things est une revue mensuelle de tendance chrétienne conservatrice, qui paraît également sur Internet.

Elle a été fondée par Richard John Neuhaus (1936- 2009), un écrivain nord-américain luthérien devenu catholique. Il a lancé la revue après avoir été renvoyé du Rockford Institute pour insubordination[1]. First Things se veut interreligieuse et indépendante, mais accueille des contributeurs de tendance généralement conservatrice, qui expriment une critique judéo-chrétienne de la société contemporaine. Ils sont catholiques, orthodoxes, juifs ou protestants ; parmi les catholiques, les plus connus sont Mary Ann Glendon, Georg Weigel et Michael Novak.
