Foreigner est un groupe de rock anglo-américain, formé à New York en 1976 par deux guitaristes anglais expérimentés, Mick Jones et Ian McDonald, ainsi qu'un chanteur américain jusqu'alors inconnu, Lou Gramm. A ce jour, le groupe a vendu plus de 50 millions d'albums à travers le monde (dont 37,5 millions aux États-Unis). Leurs plus grands tubes restent Urgent, Waiting for a Girl Like You, Juke Box Hero, Break It Up et surtout I Want to Know What Love Is sorti fin 1984.

En 2008, après 14 ans d'inactivité en studio, le groupe Foreigner revient avec une compilation (No End in Sight : The Very Best Of Foreigner) et un nouveau titre (Too Late). Comme le titre de la compilation pouvait le laisser entendre ("No End In Sight" signifie "Pas de fin en vue"), un nouvel album studio sort le 29 septembre 2009 : Can't Slow Down.
