Gaku homma est le fondateur et le chef-instructeur du Nippon kan, une association culturelle basée à Denveraux Etats-unis.Il a pratiqué avec le fondateur de l'aikido, maître Morihei Ueshiba, mais aussi qu'avec d'autres instructeurs de styles différents. Sa forme d'aïkido est très dynamique.
