Gavin Douglas (vers 1474 à Brechin – mort de la peste en septembre 1522), poète écossais

Il était fils d'Archibald Douglas, 5e comte d'Angus, et fut évêque de Dunkeld. Il composa vers 1511 une traduction en vers de l'Énéide, que l'on regarde comme un chef-d'œuvre pour le temps ; elle parut pour la première fois en 1553 à Londres.
