Ian Andrew Kirkpatrick, né le 24 mai 1946 à Gisborne Nouvelle-Zélande, est un ancien joueur de rugby à XV néo-zélandais qui joue avec les All-Blacks. Il évoluait au poste de troisième ligne aile (1,90 m pour 102 kg).

Carrière

Il a fait ses débuts avec les Blacks le 25 novembre 1967, à l’occasion d’un match contre l'Équipe de France. Son dernier test match fut contre les Lions britanniques, le 13 août 1977.

Kirkpatrick fut neuf fois capitaine des All-Blacks.

Il a aussi disputé un match avec un XV mondial le 27 août 1977 contre l'Équipe d'Afrique du Sud et un match avec le XV du Président contre l'Équipe d'Angleterre en 1971.

Il s'est distingué en marquant 115 essais pendant les 289 matchs de haut-niveau qu'il a disputé, dont 16 lors de test matchs avec les All-Blacks.
