Ihosy est une ville de Madagascar située dans la région d'Ihorombe (province de Fianarantsoa), à Madagascar.

Géographie

La commune se situe du la rivière d'Ihosy, dans le centre de Madagascar, sur les rebords du plateau de Horombe.

Histoire

La ville est la capitale du groupe Bara.

À l'origine, la ville se trouvait un peu plus haut sur la colline, à 3Km, mais fut désertée en 1806.

Administration

La ville d'Ihosy est le chef-lieu de la région d'Ihorombe, ainsi que du district du même nom.
