Le Scandola est un ferry construit en 1992 pour la Viamare. Il porte alors le nom de Via Ligure. En 1994, la compagnie Strintzis Lines rachète le navire et le rebaptise Ionian Star. Puis en 1999, la CMN rachète le navire et le baptise Scandola du nom de la réserve naturelle en Corse.
Il effectue les traversés entre Marseille et la Corse.
Modifications
En 1994, la capacité passagers passe de 50 à 200.
