All-Star

All-Star

All-Star est le nom d'un label lancé par DC Comics en 2005.

Le label doit servir à DC de réponse au succès du label Ultimate de Marvel Comics, en offrant des histoires dégagées du poids de la continuité.

Plus spécifiquement, le label All-Star a pour objectif présenter des aventures « iconiques » des plus grands héros DC par des auteurs en vue, hors de toute continuité, accessibles à tous, et fondées sur les éléments des personnages que tout le monde connaît. À la différence d'Ultimate, il n'est pas question que ces histoire établissent une nouvelle continuité. Elles sont indépendantes les unes des autres.

Les deux premières séries lancées sont All-Star Batman and Robin The Boy Wonder par Frank Miller et Jim Lee et All-Star Superman par Grant Morrison et Frank Quitely. Elles sortent en France à un rythme bimestriel et font 48 pages par magazine.
