John Norreys

John Norreys ou John Norris (né en 1547 à Yattendon, mort le 3 juillet 1597 à Mallow, Irlande) fils d'Henry Norris, 1er baron Norreys, était un général anglais, qui participa à tous les théâtres des guerres élisabéthaines : en France dans les guerres de religion, en Flandre au cours de la Guerre de Quatre-Vingts Ans, dans la guerre anglo-espagnole de 1585 à 1604, et surtout dans la reconquête de l'Irlande par les Tudor, où il s'est tristement rendu célèbre pour avoir fait massacrer femmes et enfants sur Île de Rathlin en 1575.
