Land Mattress
Un Land Mattress (droite) et un Nebelwerfer allemand au Musée canadien de la guerre. L'inscription sur la plaque d'enregistrement de la Mattress est la suivante : « Proj., Rocket 3in, No. 8 MK-1. A.C. Cars. 1945. Reg. No. 108 » (photo).

Mattress était le terme utilisé pour désigner les lance-roquettes multiples (LRM) au sol des Alliés pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale. Suite aux développements d'armes similaires par les Allemands (Nebelwerfer) et les Soviétiques (Katioucha), les Alliés ont développé leur propre LRM. Ils ne les déployèrent que tard dans la guerre.
