Le crunch est le nom donné traditionnellement au match de rugby qui oppose la France et l'Angleterre lors du tournoi des 6 nations. Par abus de langage, l'emploi du terme a été étendu aux autres rencontres officielles entre les deux équipes, en coupe du monde par exemple. Par contre, il ne s'applique pas aux éventuels matchs de préparations pour cette dernière.
Cette dénomination date du premier match entre ces deux équipes le 22 mars 1906 au Parc des Princes à Paris.
