Leek est une ville et une commune des Pays-Bas, située dans la province de Groningen. Elle a une superficie de 64 km² et elle compte 19 500 habitants. La commune est voisine des communes de Marum, Grootegast, Zuidhorn, Groningen, Noordenveld (Drenthe) et Opsterland (Frise).
La ville de Leek est traversée par le Leekster Hoofddiep.
Leek est un village de résidence très populaire, parce qu'il est situé près de Groningue, avec des maisons spacieuses pour un prix raisonnable. Le village est situé à côté de l'autoroute A7. Il n'est plus accessible par voie ferrée, mais grâce à un bus rapide, on peut arriver à Groningue en 20 minutes.
