Shaman est sorti le 22 octobre 2002 et démarre comme numéro 1 au Billboard 200 avec 298 973 copies écoulées la première semaine. L'album est certifié double platinum par la RIAA et s'est vendu à plus de 5 000 000 de copies à travers le monde.

Le single The Game of Love a reçu en 2003 le Grammy Award « Best Pop Collaboration With Vocals »^[2].
