Bruno Leopoldo Francesco Sammartino (né le 6 octobre 1935) est un ancien catcheur, plus connu pour son long règne en tant que champion de la World Wrestling Federation (WWF), détenant le titre pendant 12 ans au total avec deux règnes, le plus long règne dans le titre de WWE Championship.

« The Italian Strongman » a souvent été surnommé « The Living Legend » (La Légende vivante) du catch et est considéré comme l'un des plus grands compétiteur que le catch ait jamais connu. Ses qualités de catcheur étaient un peu limitées en comparaison à celles de vrais lutteurs comme Lou Thesz, mais son style bagarreur, sa puissance, son charisme et sa sincère gentillesse lui ont attiré de nombreux fans, spécialement sur la Côte Est des États-Unis. Pendant sa carrière, Bruno Sammartino était aussi connu sous le nom « The Original Italian Stallion ».
